Growing up, its founder, Lisette Scott, was deeply influenced by her culture. With immigrant grandparents from both Jamaica and Puerto Rico, Lisette sought to create and design a brand that brought her closer to the cultural connection of her ancestors. And thus, Jam + Rico (Jamaica and Puerto Rico) was born as an ode to her love of both design and the Caribbean.
